Grad Bash 2007

Live Music

MIND-BLOWING CONCERTS THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT

Some of today's hottest music stars will be rockin' GRAD BASH '07 with live performances all night long. This year's performers will include:

My Chemical Romance
My Chemical Romance
Since the release of their major label debut album, "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" in 2004, My Chemical Romance has scored four singles on the Billboard Modern Rock chart, with the album selling 1.5 million copies in the US to date. Their most recent album, The Black Parade, released on 10/24/06, debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 album chart, selling 240,000 copies in it's first week and it's first single, "Welcome to the Black Parade" is currently #1 on Billboard's Modern Rock chart. They were also voted "Favorite Band" in the 2006 Spin Magazine readers poll. After spending several years on the Vans Warped Tour and touring the world with Green Day, My Chemical Romance will be headlining their own arena tour next spring, stopping by Grad Bash along the way.

Cherish
Cherish
Comprised of Farrah, 22, Neosha, 20, and twins Felisha and Fallon, 18, Cherish could very well be the new model for girl groups: sophisticated enough to appeal to grown folks yet edgy enough to wow younger audiences. Cherish is not new to the music industry. The sisters first hit the scene in 2003 under the wing of producer/label exec Jermaine Dupri. The girls' super tight harmonies and fresh flavor made fans take notice. The infectious lead single "Do It To It," produced by Don Vito (Jagged Edge, Mya), finds Cherish coming out the gate fresh and sassy with Sean Paul of YoungBloodZ riding shotgun. Their album "Unappreciated", released in August 2006, debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 album chart and was recently certified GOLD. They also toured with Chris Brown and Ne-YO this summer.

Paula DeAnda
Paula DeAnda
Can dreams come true? Ask Paula DeAnda, the 16-year-old Corpus Christi resident who – in short order - found herself with a rhythm radio hit that made its way onto the Billboard charts (as a result of constant airplay throughout the South West), followed by a live audition in front of music industry legend Clive Davis who signed her on the spot in early 2006. Her first single "Doing Too Much" (featuring Baby Bash) has propelled Paula into the national spotlight, giving her the opportunity to perform across the country while completing her self-titled debut album for Arista. Her second single "Walk Away" was #8 on Billboard's Rhythmic Top 40 chart.

Jeannie Ortega
Jeannie Ortega
As a member of the first graduating class of Brooklyn's High School for the Performing Arts, Jeannie showed immense promise as a "superstar in the making." Shortly after graduation, Jeannie gained instant notoriety for her first recording "Got What It Takes," which debuted on the soundtrack and movie "Love Don't Cost A Thing." Soon after, Jeannie inked a recording deal with Hollywood Records and released her debut album "No Place Like Brooklyn" to major acclaim. Her first single, "Crowded," was an instant pop chart smash.

Brooke Hogan
Brooke Hogan
On Saturday night only, Brooke Hogan will be performing songs from her debut album Undiscovered for a taping of VH1's hit reality show Hogan Knows Best. As the only daughter of the pro-wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, Brooke grew up in a family familiar with the absurdities of the spotlight and the responsibilities of fame. As the first artist signed by super-producer Scott Storch (Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, 50 Cent, Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, Missy Elliot) in his label deal with Sobe Entertainment, Brooke Hogan is taking the next step on a musical and artistic journey that's unmistakably her own with Undiscovered including the hit song with Paul Wall "About Us".

Plus there will be special appearances by the cast members of MTV's hit show Laguna Beach!
